Perhaps the most iconic building on Porto's main avenue, it has been promising for many years to regain its grandeur and once again take centre stage in the undefeated city.
Always known as Edifício Axa or Edíficio Garantia, this iconic mid-20th century building has been restored and turned into a 5-star hotel by the Eurostars group.
Inspired by the city’s four pillars (architecture, bridges, the river and wine), its restoration was carried out by Ferreira Build Power, which found a partner in Laskasas for this project’s interior decoration.

Laskasas Kontract, the hospitality division of the Laskasas Group, produced personalised and unique pieces, fitting in with the image idealised by the Eurostars team.
This hotel’s luxury respects the building’s history, and Laskasas has followed this approach in creating each space and element of this new city icon.
